A wonderful element of practising
yoga is that just for a moment the world around us becomes less complicated & life is all about stretching & breathing. It teaches us to be in the moment and let go of unwanted thoughts and to be conscious of how the breath moves through our body. Yoga has always been something I come back to when I need to refocus & calm my mind. The subtle movements are incredibly powerful and should never be underestimated. How often do you hold your own breath when you are stressed or anxious ?
